Lesson 10

Ken Robinson outlines three principles crucial for the human mind to florish. In your own words, describe EACH one.

1.)    Humans are different in diverse in my own words. Is that children has a different way of learning at their own perspective in which breaking things down in a way they would understand.

2.)    Having curiosity, every child has the desire to achieve the task at hand giving by teacher. Also a teacher can teach but if there is no learning then there are not fulfilling the task.

3.)    Student’s character has a huge involvement with their learning. With the comparison in our states compared to other countries is that they students wouldn’t have a reason to drop out instead here in United States there are huge percentage students dropping out. As teacher they must have different metaphors to show their diverse, curiosity, and character to achieve.

How does our current culture of education work against these principles? Describe.

Our current culture individualize student learning. There are not getting constant support system to improve the education inside the classroom with the teachers. Which give students reason to drop out because they feel school is not irrelevant or personal things outside of school.

Do you agree or disagree with Ken Robinson? Why or why not?

I agree with Ken Robinson, the reason why is cause if the teachers are not performing the task students want be able to perform well on the test. I agree with him saying that all students have a different learning level as a teacher it’s the job to break the standard down to understand.

In your opinion, describe ONE of the most important things you could "take-a-way" from this talk?

What I take away from this talk is that as teacher you must be able to teach but also students must learn the task that is being teach. For example, Ken Robinson use that a teacher was teaching but student was not learning the task and it will have effect on a standardize test.
