Lesson 1 : Lady Gaga

 

                        The lessons and discussions that you are about to view are from my education 2120 diversity class. The answers that I have given are my viewpoints on the topic. The topics that you read will range from understanding Lady Gaga song “I was Born this way”, how bulling effects people to learning about transgender people. These topics are for my better understanding of different individuals in the world today. The lessons will also help you understand the kind of person I am.

 

Lesson 2 : Ethnicity and Race 

      In lesson two you will read about segregation. You will also learn about how proms make other students feel and why some may not feel as welcomed as others. You will finally learn that today there are still segregated proms in the United States. The lesson over all is to learn that everyone is equal and that segregation is not right.

 

Lesson 3:Class and SES

In lesson three, you will read about what race is and what it means to me. You also will read about how i view race in general. You will also read about activity I performed. This lesson is also about understanding that you cannot just stereotype someone for the way they look. This lesson teaches that there are many people that look like one race but is the complete opposite from that race.

 

Lesson 5:A Class Divided

In this lesson you will read my thoughts on what stereotyping is. You will also learn the different between prejudice and stereotype. You will also read about my thoughts on how stereotyping is wrong and harmful. This lesson also talks about stuff that is sexist in the public’s eyes. Over this entire lesson is very education and can give a person a better understanding on stereotypes.

 

Lesson 6:Gender

This lesson has a lot about understanding teacher’s right in a class room. The lesson also has a lot about understanding how to deal with students questions on religion. Then you will learn about what rights a teacher does not have in a class room. This lesson also is about students’ rights when it comes to religion in the school.

 

Lesson 7:Sexual Orientation and Family Structure

This lesson is about the understanding of the school systems standards and principles. You will read about the three principles crucial for the human mind to flourish. You will read my opnion on the school system in America. You will also read about other school system and how they are different from ours.

 

Lesson 9:The Bully Project

This lesson is about the understanding of bullying within the school systems.

 

Lesson 10:The Culture of Education

This lesson is about the understanding of Ken Robinson outlines three principles crucial for the human mind to florish.
